Our team traveled to Montgomery, Alabama to support Ethan Taylor, proudly representing AGGBGC as our 2026 Youth of the Year, at the Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) Alabama Statewide Youth of the Year Competition.

During the ceremonial breakfast, Ethan delivered a powerful and heartfelt speech that resonated throughout the room. He courageously shared his personal journey—one shaped by adversity, resilience, and determination—and reflected on how perseverance and the support of the Club helped him rise above challenges. His words highlighted not only his leadership and confidence, but also the growth that comes from refusing to give up, even in the face of hardship.

Competing against nominees from 13 Boys & Girls Clubs across the state, Ethan placed 4th overall, leaving a lasting impression on judges and attendees alike with his authenticity, strength, and presence. His story served as a reminder of the transformative power of perseverance and the impact a positive, supportive environment can have on a young person’s life.

We are incredibly proud of the way Ethan represented AGGBGC on the statewide stage and inspired others through both his words and actions. His achievement reflects not only his dedication and character, but also his ability to turn obstacles into motivation—and the lasting impact of the Club experience in helping young people discover their potential.
