Club COVID-19 FAQs

Which clubhouses are open?

At this time, only our Howlett and Southside Homes Clubhouses are open for remote learning. Center for a New Generation will remain closed to members while Hayes K-8 School remains closed.
What are the new precautions are being taken to ensure a safer environment?
COVID-19 training for all staff.
All staff and members will be required to wear a face.
Frequently touched surfaces will be cleaned and sanitized often throughout the day.
All campers, staff and volunteers will practice social distancing, proper hand washing, and cough/sneeze etiquette.
Health and wellness will be checked regularly each day. If a member becomes ill, the parent will be called to pick them up.
Following guidance from the CDC, we will NOT offer field trips this summer.
Activities will be modified to limit physical contact. Equipment will be cleaned between uses and/or sufficient supplies will be provided for all campers.
Installation of sanitizing stations throughout the facilities.
We will mark off safe distances throughout our buildings to help keep children appropriately spaced.
Reminders for hand-washing, social distancing, and safe sneezing will be posted throughout the facilities.

What activities will the students participate in?

To be of greater service to our members and families, we have transformed our afterschool program to remote learning. Members have access to stable Wi-Fi/technology platforms, adult assistance with logging into their virtual classrooms, tutorial assistance, meals, mentorship and organized Boys & Girls Club activities throughout the day.

How will lunch and snack be served?

Lunch and snacks are individually pre-packaged by an outside food service. Meals will be distributed to each program room. Members will not leave designated areas to pick up meals.
