Our Impact

Athletics

Creating a Healthier Generation.

The Girls and Boys Club Athletics Program is designed to inspire confidence, teamwork, and a lifelong love of physical activity in every young athlete who walks through our doors. Through a wide range of sports and fitness opportunities, participants learn the value of hard work, discipline, and perseverance—all within a supportive and encouraging environment. Whether a child is trying a new sport for the first time or aiming to refine their competitive edge, they’ll find a place where they belong and feel empowered. With an emphasis on respect, sportsmanship, and positive relationships, the Girls and Boys Club Athletics Program provides every participant with the tools to grow, achieve, and succeed—both as athletes and as individuals.

These Club programs help develop physical fitness, reduce stress and promote a positive use of leisure time, appreciation for the environment and interpersonal skills. Find a selection of programs we offer by age. Each Club is uniquely catered to its community. Be sure to find your local Club to find all possible programs available.

Baseball and Softball

Our baseball and softball programs provide a safe and positive place for participants to learn about the game, teamwork and good sportsmanship. The program also teaches youths from age six to 18 the skills and techniques needed to compete at the high school level. We currently participate in the Police Athletic Team (PAT) League and Major League Baseball (MLB)/RBI League.

Gaston Boys & Girls Club basketball league teaches our members basic basketball skills, promotes good sportsmanship and allows them to have good, healthy fun. Members ages six to 18 who are not participating in their high school programs are eligible.
